Design and fabrication of the steel structure shaft for sightseeing elevators. According to the dimensions in the civil engineering drawings, for sightseeing elevators with 6 floors or less, the main beams can use 150mm×150mm×0.5mm square steel, and the crossbeams can use 120mm×80mm×0.5mm square steel.
Generally, externally mounted sightseeing elevators adopt a machine room-less design. According to national standards, the minimum clear height of the top floor for machine room-less elevators should be 4.5 meters. It is best to use light-shielding aluminum-plastic panels to cover the top of the steel structure to protect the main unit. The pit for the sightseeing elevator should be 1.8 meters deep. A crossbeam must be added every 2 meters in height of the steel structure. A crossbeam must be added every 2.35 meters above the floor level for the doorway.
